The beginning of the road
She started her artistic career at the age of 5
Begun her artistic carreer
She began her artistic training studying and learning about contemporary dance, pre-ballet, jazz and hip-hop for 5 years in a prestigious ballet academy.
First time leading
explores the discipline of choreographic cheerleading, which she practices for a year, playing the role of captain and choreographer of the nationalist dances team of her school.
Got her First Artistic Achievement
She got graduated as a Middle - Level Technician in Music at the Don Angel Mottola Music School, after 6 long years of study where she learned everything about theory and solfeggio, music history, rhythmology and playing basic air instruments.
First Bellydance Contest
With only one year of Bellydance self-taught learning, she joined the professional category of the competition into the 1st Bellydance Festival in Venezuela. After she realize that her rivals were the greatest dancers at the moment and with only 15 years old, she got into a frightened moment, but for her surprise she got the 5th place, and that´s the moment where she decides to adopt Bellydance as her profession and passion.
Starts her Career as an Instructor
She began her career as a Bellydance instructor on a prestigious dance school in the East of the country, where she worked for 5 years, producing more than 10 events and more than 100 choreographics. Simultaneously she understood that as an instructor she had to keep preparing herself, so intensifyed her training in every Festival, seminar and event that she could attend, studying and learning from stars such as: Mahmoud Reda, Farida Fhamy, Randa Kamel, Alaa el Din Yousef, Mohamed, Tommy King Said El Amir, Nesma, Ana Borisova, Alla Khrusnir, Sadie, Meera Varma (Bollywood), Moria, Omar Al Khabir, Petite Jamilla, Sonia, Bozenka, Samara Kamal, Saida Elou, Mario Kirlis, Samir Abut, among others.
A new beginning
At the age of 21 she founded the Zahira Bellydance Academy, where not only the school stands out the work of oriental dance but also in other genres. At the moment, it continues active and is cataloged as the most prestigious School of the East of the Country, located in C.C. Ciudad Puente Real in New Barcelona area.
Zahira´s Greatest Year
- She won the "Belly Award" as new National Talent, awarded by the Latin American Festival of Bellydance in Venezuela.
- Makes the First Oriental Bellydance International (OBI), becoming the most important Bellydance Seminary in the East of the country.
- Starts giving seminars in different schools at national level, as well as starts offering specialized training classes to other instructors of the discipline.
The Academy Give Something to Talk About of
The Zahira Bellydance Academy won for two years in a row the "Belly Award" as the Best School in the whole East of the Country, granted by the Latin American Festival of Bellydance in Venezuela
Starts her International Career
The year 2015 is a year of great achievements in which she takes off her international career:
- Gave her first international seminar (Dhandala Bellydance, Costa Rica)
- Dance as Special Guest in the Gala show of the International Festival of Bellydance in Panama (FIDAP)
- She is chosen as one of the most influential personalities of the East of the country by the Local Television Channel "Tele Caribe".
- Gave her first seminar in the Latin American Festival of Bellydance in Venezuela (FELDAV).
Year of Consolidation
- She is chosen for second year in a row as one of the most influential personalities of the East of the country by the Local Channel of Television "Tele Caribe".
- Gave her second seminar in the Latin American Festival of Bellydance in Venezuela and were chosen for second year in a row as the Best Bellydance Teacher of the Festival.
Time for Expansion
- Went to Ecuador to Study the area and the Market to open a new branch of her Academy.
- Gave a seminar at the Ya Salam International Festival in Milan- Italy
- Gave a seminar at the Asalia International Festival in Valencia - Spain
Second branch and raising
- After a hard work she decides to open a new branch of her Academy in Quito-Ecuador, until now both Academies (Barcelona - Venezuela and Quito - Ecuador) are fully running.
- Create alliances with great national and international artists.
- The first international event takes place in Quito- Ecuador (Fenix)
Consolidation as International Artist
Zahira is consolidated as an international artist by doing her second international tour, after two years, but this time teaching or performing as an international guest artist at prestigious international events such as Raks Tallinn (Estonia) and APCAA (Switzerland). She also taught at workshops organized by academies in Madrid (Spain) and Cuenca (Ecuador), and performed as a guest artist at the World Philosophy Day in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), organized by UNESCO - World Philosophical Forum
